Volunteer experience
"Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can." - Arthur Ashe
As a civilian member of the Winnipeg Police Pipe Band, I have had the privilege of participating in parades and performances alongside dedicated musicians. Our commitment and teamwork were put to the test when we competed in the Pleasanton Highland Games, where we proudly achieved second place overall.
I began my journey with the Lord Selkirk RFM Pipe Band when I was 13, and gradually worked my way up the ranks, eventually graduating and becoming an instructor. To this day, I remain committed to giving back, returning each week to guide students to master the snare drum. It's incredibly rewarding to watch the next generation of musicians develop their skills.
Volunteering with the Children's Hospital Book Market has been a heartwarming experience. I contribute by assisting with the transportation of books to and from the venue. While it may seem like a small role, it plays an essential part in supporting a noble cause.
